So I know we’re all impatiently waiting for the juicy details about the new Norway itinerary being added to the Adventures by Disney European collection. As soon as more is available, I will post it here! In the meantime, I will try to satisfy your cravings with some tasty info about the other new goodies on the horizon for next year!
The Italy Revamp
9 days/8 spectacular nights in Rome, Florence, Venice, and the Tuscan Countryside (sign me up…)
- Step onto the actual floor of the actual Colosseum, an area normally off-limits to the public!
- How does an after-hours trip to the Vatican City Museum and the Sistine Chapel sound? Incredible? Yeah, that’s added for 2014.
- Visit a working olive farm and learn from two Italian nonnas (grandmothers) how to prepare a traditional Italian dish in their kitchen!
- Did I mention the part about the Colosseum?
The New Central Europe Tour: Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic
A 9 day/8 night tour through Vienna, Salzburg, the Bavarian Alps, and Prague
- Spend 3 nights in the Bavarian Alps, with stops in ice caves and salt mines
- Experience Central European cuisine… no, literally experience it with strudel and pretzel making, and a schnapps tasting! Mmm, schnapps…
- Partake in a private dinner at the Emperor’s Pavilion, or Kaiserpavillon, in the world-famous Vienna Zoo
The New Stuff for Teens
Three Itineraries have been redesigned, with new activities specifically for families with teenagers!
- Peru, June 22nd – 30th: Salsa dancing lessons and horseback riding
- Costa Rica, July 12th – 18th: Private beach party (fun!) and photography lessons at Laguna Lodge
- Arizona/Utah, August 6th – 13th: Bike through Boynton Canyon; enjoy a Grand Canyon sunset hike; swim and play tennis in Moab
Oh, the folks at Adventures by Disney are so thoughtful. It’s not enough just to provide incredible, once-in-a-lifetime trips… they gotta make them better!!
